Personal Data & Privacy

Personal data collected through the site are processed by the Publisher as data controller:

  • Contact form and documentation requests: used to handle your inquiry, provide services and for commercial follow-up. Submissions are sent securely to our server-side function hosted by Cloudflare, emailed to our team, recorded in our CRM, HubSpot (EU data centre), and archived in our Cloudflare storage so that no request is lost.
  • Customer Area account: an account is created the first time you sign in with a new email address (or with Google). To give installers and partners access to list prices, documents and support, we store your email address, your name and company if you give them, your preferred language, the sign-in methods you use (Google and email sign-in link) and the date, IP address and browser of your sessions. There are no passwords. If you sign in with Google, Google provides your name, email address and Google account identifier. These data are kept in a database hosted by Cloudflare in the European Union; sign-in links (valid for 15 minutes, usable once) are sent through Cloudflare Email Service. You can edit your profile and delete your account at any time from the Customer Area.
  • Quote requests: anyone can build a quote request from the catalog without signing in, and signed-in Customer Area users can send it (once signed in, list prices are shown), by choosing kits and items from the catalog with their quantities and entering their company name, email, phone number (with country code), country and billing address and, optionally, a delivery address, VAT number, reference and notes. These data are used to prepare and send the quote (pre-contractual measures taken at your request) and for commercial follow-up (legitimate interest). The request is archived in our Cloudflare storage, emailed to our team and confirmed to you by email through Cloudflare Email Service; it is recorded in our CRM, HubSpot (EU data centre), as a deal listing the requested items, linked to your contact and company records, whose details (including phone number and address) are updated.
  • Account type, distributor applications and installer requests: when you create a Customer Area account you tell us how you work with UniLift (installer or end user, or reseller) and where you work (country, region, postcode or city). Resellers apply for a distributor account with their company details (name, VAT number, address, website, business type, size), the area they cover, the customers they serve, their contact details (name, job title, phone) and, to join colleagues, the company they work for; our team reviews each application and may contact you. If you request a quote as an installer or end user, we also collect the job location (country, region, postcode, city), the number of doors, the timing and, optionally, the door size. With your consent, given in the form, we pass that request and your contact details to one UniLift distributor that covers the area, which contacts you and prepares the quote as an independent data controller. Distributors who are linked to a company see the requests assigned to that company. Our staff handle applications and requests in an internal area protected by Cloudflare Access. Legal bases: pre-contractual measures taken at your request, your consent (sharing with a distributor) and our legitimate interest in organising our sales network; data are kept as described for accounts and quote requests.
  • Customer relationship: your name, company, business email and language are copied to our CRM, HubSpot (EU data centre), to manage the business relationship and commercial follow-up.

Legal bases: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, legitimate interests (business development and security), and consent where required.
Retention: data are stored for the period strictly necessary for the purposes described and in accordance with statutory limitation periods.
Recipients: authorized internal teams and trusted processors strictly for the above purposes: Cloudflare (hosting, account database, email delivery), HubSpot (CRM) and, if you choose Google sign-in, Google. Cloudflare and HubSpot are US companies certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and their data processing agreements include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights: you may access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data and request portability, within the limits of applicable law. You may also define directives regarding the fate of your data after death.
How to exercise your rights: contact [privacy@…] or write to the Publisher at the registered office, including a proof of identity if needed. If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Cookies & Trackers

The site does not use cookies or similar technologies for audience measurement, advertising or personalisation. For this reason no consent banner is displayed.

  • Strictly necessary — Customer Area: only when you sign in, the site sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in securely: eds.session_token (your session: until you sign out, at most 30 days) and eds_ca (tells the pages that you are signed in; it contains no personal data). They are exempt from consent. Visitors who do not sign in receive none of them.
  • Strictly necessary — security: our hosting provider Cloudflare may set a security cookie (for example __cf_bm) to protect the site against malicious bots; it does not identify you and does not require consent.
  • Strictly necessary — form protection: the contact and documentation forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots before a request is accepted. It runs checks in your browser (for example browser and device signals), sets no tracking cookies and is not used for advertising; Cloudflare processes these signals only to provide this service. It does not require consent.
  • Audience measurement: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies or any other storage on your device and without fingerprinting. It only provides aggregated statistics (pages viewed, referring website, browser and device type, country, page-load performance).
  • Marketing / third-party: none — no advertising, retargeting or social-media trackers.

Security

The Publisher implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the site and your data (e.g., HTTPS/TLS, Cloudflare network protection against DDoS attacks and malicious traffic, pre-generated static pages with no content-management system exposed online, minimal server-side code, restricted and role-based access, regular security updates of the software used). Customer Area accounts have no passwords: you sign in with Google or a single-use email link (valid for 15 minutes); sign-in attempts are rate-limited and the account database is not reachable from the internet. Nevertheless, users are reminded of the risks inherent to the internet and should take appropriate precautions.

The site may include links to third-party websites. The Publisher declines any responsibility regarding the content, availability, or privacy practices of such external sites.

Liability

The Publisher endeavors to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, the Publisher makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the completeness or accuracy of the content. The Publisher reserves the right to modify the site’s content at any time without notice. The user remains solely responsible for the use made of the information provided.

Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These legal notices are governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable resolution, disputes shall be submitted to the competent French courts.
